I am too, but I figured I should wish everyone a happy one Valentine's Day here is also called Singles Awareness Day or SAD, for short

Chinese New Year is fun, even though my family doesn't celebrate it. I should've driven myself to Chinatown >_>

[identity profile] mele-3-4.livejournal.com 2010-02-14 08:08 pm (UTC)(link)
lol I know exactly what you mean XD

it really is, I really wish I lived close to Sydney so I could have gone :(

[identity profile] mstzanicki.livejournal.com 2010-02-14 08:37 pm (UTC)(link)
good :)

I know. I keep having friends post pics of food on fb today (not that they don't do it on normal days, but there's a whole lot more than usual). I want some dumplings and noodles.

[identity profile] zvemi.livejournal.com 2010-02-14 11:46 pm (UTC)(link)
uhm.... Happy all that can be Happy~ XD ♥

I don't celebrate valentine's either (pretty much no-one here does), but I figured there might be people who do :)

[identity profile] mstzanicki.livejournal.com 2010-02-14 11:54 pm (UTC)(link)
lol, you're cute ♥

the most I remember doing for Valentine's is just getting and receiving cards, so erm... it's kind of like I don't celebrate it at all. this Valentine's is special though because it falls on Chinese New Year, which is really rare :)

[identity profile] zvemi.livejournal.com 2010-02-15 05:06 pm (UTC)(link)
haha ♥ really, why should only few days a year be happy? :3

I never even got any card... valentine's has no tradition here and only became popular in last few years due to commercial massage. It's seen as a huge americanization and people are mostly DNW about it, reasoning that it doesn't make sense to only be romantic one day a year. Others think it's a nice occasion to be all lovey-dovey on top of how they normally are. I'm single, so I don't care either way. But I guess I never really celebrated it.. and chinese new year.. chinese community is pretty much non-existant here, so you wouldn't know. But I'd love to see some celebrations for myself.

[identity profile] mstzanicki.livejournal.com 2010-02-15 06:23 pm (UTC)(link)
exactly. it's dumb that there's basically only one day a year where you show your love, you should show it everyday.

that's understandable. it's really just a commercial holiday for companies to gain even more money. I'm single too. the other name we have here for Valentine's is Singles Awareness Day (SAD)... ok. my family doesn't celebrate Chinese New Year, but I wish we did. I should've driven myself to Chinatown.

I think a good valentines day gift would be a tiger. Just saying.

[identity profile] mstzanicki.livejournal.com 2010-02-15 01:49 am (UTC)(link)
I agree with you on that. Tigers are awesome.

[identity profile] sadistic-dance.livejournal.com 2010-02-15 01:57 am (UTC)(link)
I'm actually pretty afraid of them but if someone went through the trouble of getting one for me I'd return their feelings, as our japanese friends would say.

[identity profile] mstzanicki.livejournal.com 2010-02-15 02:21 am (UTC)(link)
lol same. they're awesome, but scary, especially the mama tigers. I love the things japanese people say. don't forget to do it properly as well.

[identity profile] sadistic-dance.livejournal.com 2010-02-15 03:12 am (UTC)(link)
I was once reading about tigers on wikipedia and looked behind me to make sure none were sneaking up on me. In my house, in the city, of Chicago. With my door locked. Yeah.

[identity profile] mstzanicki.livejournal.com 2010-02-15 03:32 am (UTC)(link)
sorry, I lol'd. but that just reminded of the Hangover with the tiger in the bathroom.

replace tigers with ghosts and reading on wikipedia with watching a scary movie at night time and you have me.

[identity profile] sadistic-dance.livejournal.com 2010-02-15 04:37 am (UTC)(link)
I lol at that too when I think back on it. I don't know what I was thinking.

I do that too. Although usually it's something Resident Evily. I, for one reason or another think it's a good idea to read about biological zombie mutant thingys in small midwestern towns at night in the dark.

[identity profile] mstzanicki.livejournal.com 2010-02-15 04:51 am (UTC)(link)
you were being paranoid cautious... yeah, we'll go with that.

maybe you just like scaring yourself. or you're really M type. or both maybe? but reading about biological zombie mutant thingys in small midwestern towns sounds interesting, just not at night time. you should turn on the lights the next time you decide to do that to yourself.

[identity profile] sadistic-dance.livejournal.com 2010-02-15 07:26 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, I'll go with that too. Because tigers are just sneaky like that.

But I'm Sadistic_Dance. I don't like being scared or in pain lol. I think it's just that I'm on the internet when it's dark so that's when I look things up? If that makes any kind of sense.

[identity profile] mstzanicki.livejournal.com 2010-02-15 07:36 am (UTC)(link)
good. they are, you really have to be careful and mindful of your surroundings.

well, I tried. it would be really funny though if you were the opposite of what your name said. I don't like being scared or in pain either. yeah, it does. you probably should try to fix that so you don't end up scaring yourself.

[identity profile] sadistic-dance.livejournal.com 2010-02-16 04:00 am (UTC)(link)
Mhm, I think 100% of tiger attacks happened when people and gazelles and stuff weren't looking.

Honestly I'm just very passively sadistic. I don't go out of my way to put people in pain so I can enjoy it later or right than or however that works.

[identity profile] mstzanicki.livejournal.com 2010-02-16 04:06 am (UTC)(link)
sounds right. people/gazelles/whatever else should learn to be more observant.

I'm the same as you.
